ETEM Systems: Avant-garde forms, the new challenge for the architectural systems

Ventilated facades, curtain walls and sun-protection systems – are the best solutions used in office building projects in Romania, in 2013. The conclusion belongs to the ETEM Systems specialists following an analysis of the reference portfolio of the company, projects developed in the previous months.

Ventilated façade concept is implemented in Romania over 10 years, being approved by architects for both energy efficiency features of the building and the installation that allows safe, fast and error-free alignment of exterior finishes: ceramic tiles, HPL, plywood, composite wood, stone, cement or aluminum composite “sandwich” type.

ETEM Systems experts believe, however, that there is a need for a greater variety in the design of buildings forms on the local market, in order to use the architectural solutions available to their maximum potential.

“ETEM Systems, through the R&D department, is constantly innovating aluminum structural assemblies that connect the resistance component of the building and the new types of exterior cladding launched in the construction sector. In 2014 we would like to see a greater variety in design shapes of office buildings in Romania with designs going out of the geometric pattern as the prismatic type,” said Irina Ivan, architect consultant at ETEM Systems.
