VDT Technology, a leading provider of innovative technology solutions across various sectors, has announced its acquisition of Czech startup Digital Transformation Systems (DTS). This strategic move is set to bolster VDT Technology’s capabilities in digital construction planning, particularly through the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies.
VDT Technology, known for its expertise in intelligent monitoring systems, digital modeling, and simulation across industries such as transportation, security, energy, and healthcare, sees this acquisition as a significant step forward. By bringing DTS into its fold, VDT aims to enhance efficiency and transparency in the planning, design, and execution of construction projects, both large and small.
DTS has made a name for itself by successfully scaling its non-graphical information management product and digitization services from the Czech Republic to several European countries, including Germany, Sweden, Poland, and Slovakia. Its clientele includes prominent public and private entities like Valbek, Pražská vodohospodářská společnost, GasNet, Elektrizace železnic Praha, and Sweco.
Milan Moravec, the founder of DTS, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, stating, “Joining forces with VDT Technology allows us to further our vision of digitalizing the construction industry. At VDT, we will integrate our product with other solutions within the group, aiming for full digitization of construction, also known as the digital twin.”
VDT Technology’s CEO, Jiří Jirkovský, echoed this optimism, noting that the acquisition will accelerate the implementation of digital twin technology in their construction projects. “DTS’s expertise and advanced BIM technology will enable us to improve project efficiency, reduce costs, and increase transparency at every stage. We are excited about the collaboration and the innovations it will bring to our customers,” he said.
