KBS REIT II, the building owner, along with Hines, the international real estate firm, announced that 300 North LaSalle in Chicago has received Platinum certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Existing Buildings (EB) category. The tower previously received Gold certification under the LEED for Core & Shell (CS) Rating System.
KBS REIT II purchased 300 North LaSalle in 2010. The tower, developed by Hines, was completed in 2009 and is still managed by the firm.
Rising 775 feet, 300 North LaSalle is among the city’s tallest buildings.
300 North LaSalle also earned the ENERGY STAR® label in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The building is 99 percent leased to a notable tenant roster including: The Boston Consulting Group; GTCR; Kirkland & Ellis LLP; and Quarles & Brady LLP.
