International law firm Salans has supported the HOLMER-Group on the transfer of an enterprise to EXEL Industries. The transfer will enable EXEL to merge HOLMER with its own brand EXXACT and operate a complete range of sugar beet harvesters on the international market. Salans’ partner Andreas Ziegenhagen has been serving the function of a double-sided trustee to HOLMER-Group since Autumn 2012 in order to secure the interests of various bank creditors.
With 380 employees, the HOLMER group is the global market leader in the area of the self-propelled sugar beet harvesters. The company is represented worldwide in all sugar beet growing areas.
EXEL Industries is a listed French group with approximately 3,200 employees in 25 countries. It specialises in precision spraying techniques in agricultural machinery. The Salans team was led by Andreas Ziegenhagen who advised HOLMER on the sale. The transaction is still dependent on approval by the cartel authorities.
