ABB, a global leader in power engineering and automation, has signed an agreement with CTP to develop a new custom-built (CTFit) 12 500 m2 production and R&D centre at CTPark Brno. The facility will be used to produce high-performance switchgear components for the power industry. Custom fit-out will include installation of cranes, floor pits, special foundations and a paint room. The new project will employ 150 people in the hi-tech sector.
Construction will start immediately with completion scheduled for September of this year. This will be the 4th project CTP has developed for ABB – including a robot service centre, and a global design centre in Ostrava, as well as a production facility at CTPark Modřice.
