The Polish communication company TP S.A. announced today its plans to merge its subsidiary PTK Centertel with the operator Orange. At the same time, the company said it will cut dividends by PLN 0.5 per share. Market watchers had expected the step for some time, as the company’s income has been shrinking over the last couple of years. They also predict the TPSA’s traditional logo will be replaced by Orange’s once the deal is closed. “The merger will help to increase our position on key markets,” TPSA said in an official statement.
