SEB Asset Management sold Grand Hyatt Hotel at Berlin’s Postdamer Platz to Al Rayyan Tourism and Investment (ARTIC). The five star high end hotel in Berlin-Mitte will be placed in the portfolio of an open ended SEB ImmovInvest property fund. With a total of 342 bedrooms, the hotel is part of the Quartier Potsdamer Platz complex, which comprises 19 properties.
For the subsidiary of the Qatar-based Al Faisal Holding, this represents the second acquisition of a Berlin hotel transaction with SEB ImmoInvest. The Quartier Potsdamer Platz has a gross floor space of 550,000 sqm and offers a diversified mix of functions in 19 properties, that range from office, administrative and retail properties to residential buildings, entertainment facilities, gastronomy and hotels.
