Polish lenders are cutting interest rates on deposits, according to the daily Puls Biznesu. The average interest rates on three-month deposits fell to 4.08 percent at the end of January, from 4.41 percent the previous month. The daily Puls Biznesu warns, however, that banks are cutting interest rates on their deposits faster than the Polish Monetary Council. The biggest cuts are planned for annual and semi-annual deposits. “Interest rates will continue to fall for bank deposits in the coming months and fall below 4 percent by the end of the year,” said Michał Sadrak of Open Finance.
