Hungary discusses bilateral relations with Israel

5 February 2013

Hungarian Defense Minister Csaba Hende discussed opportunities to expand Hungarian-Israeli cooperation during a recent international conference on security policy in Munich. Hende met with his Israeli counterpart, Ehud Barak. Hende said the discussion was not about military cooperation, but rather the two leaders talked about how they could deepen bilateral relations on a country level. Barak also proposed the idea of bringing young Israelis to Budapest to learn about the Holocaust in trips similar to ones organized in Poland.
