Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Péter Szijjártó, State Secretary for Foreign Relations, said the discussion focused on energy and transport issues. The two leaders also discussed Hungarian-Russian cooperation in the fields of education, industry and agriculture, and a possible Russian investment in Hungary’s nuclear power station in Paks. Following the meeting, Putin said that Russian companies are ready to increase their presence in renewing and building energy production plants in Hungary. He added that Hungary is a priority partner in Eastern Europe.
