The National Bank of Poland will help cushion the state budget gap with PLN 400m. The president of the central bank, Marek Belka, said the amount has already been included in the NBP’s 2013 financial plan. According to the daily Puls Biznesu, funding from the central bank has shrunk over the past two years. In 2011 the NBP added PLN 4bn to the state budget, while in 2012, it bolstered state funding with a record PLN 6.5bn.
