The euro strengthened against the Polish złoty on Monday, hitting PLN 4.2. The local currency weakened after data retail sales and the jobless rate was released last week. This suggests Poland’s GDP figures are likely to come in weaker than was originally hoped, and the website parkiet.pl predicts continued softening of the złoty could continue this week. At the same time, the server claims, the zloty is not expected to fall below PLN 4.245 per euro on exchange markets.
