Gonçalo Duarte Silva was named new managing director at Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Poland. Silva replaced Thomasa Shoena, who was moved to Egypt. Silva will manage a chain of six hotels in Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań and Sopot. In addition to Warsaw’s Intercontinental hotel, Silva will also manage the group’s Westin and Bristol hotels, which were added to the “luxury collection” chain last year.
