Poland’s Ministry of Economy wants to keep the Special Economic Zones (SSE) in operation until 2026, the daily Puls Biznesu reports. SSE helps attract capital for new investments in Poland. If the program is extended until 2026, market watchers estimate SSE could attracted PLN 40bn in investments. The program gives investors tax breaks. Poland’s Treasury, however, claims SSE could seriously impact the budget and opposes its extension.
The SSE extension proposal will go before the the government on Tuesday.
