WSE meets brokers to cut market hours

Warsaw Stock Exchange officials met representatives of the WSE’s members to discuss reducing the amount of time the bourse is actually open for business. The participants agreed to established a joint team to prepare an in-depth market analysis that’s expected to guide the board in its decision on how much to reduce its opening hours by.
The WSE board and the brokers are also set to decide on a new trading system for the Polish bourse. Called the Universal Trading Platform (UTP), the technology was developed by NYSE Technologies and is currently used on New York Stock Exchange.
