Mota-Engil leaves Romanian market

Blaming the escalating financial crisis, the Portuguese construction group Mota-Engil announced that it has decided to withdraw from the Romanian market.

The group started operating in Romania in 2007 and worked on projects like Nusco Tower, Doamna Ghica Plaza and the Pipera-Tunari passage.

Mota-Engil’s principal activities include civil engineering, infrastructure construction, energy and steel works and transport concessions. It also works on logistics, retail and warehousing projects, and maintain operations in Europe, Africa and the United States.
