The Chinese equipment provider Huawei announced plans to expand its operations in Romania over the next few years. Huawei recently signed a new contract with Orange Romania and is currently negotiating a contract with 2K Telecom, according to Victor Stan, the director of the Huawei Global Services Center Romania.
Huawei currently has 650 employees in Romania. Approximately 380 people are based in the company’s Global Service Center, which spans two floors at the Lakeview building in the northern part of Bucharest.
Huawei said it plans to rent additional space for more personnel.
