The German company Kirchhoff Hungaria, which manufactures car parts, announced it is expanding its factory in Esztergom. The HUF 2.9bn expansion will include a new production hall that will help meet the demands of its growing customer base, the company said. Kirchhoff Hungaria had originally only been working with Suzuki, but today it also provides parts to Peugeot, Citroen, Volkswagen, Skoda, Ford, BMW, General Motors and Mercedes. The company received more than HUF 700m in support from the European Union and the Hungarian government.
The expansion will add 50 new jobs to the local market as well.
