More than 16,400 companies became insolvent during the first 9 months of the year, according to Constantin Coman, country manager at Coface Romania.
That’s almost 8 percent more than the same period of 2011 and 20 percent more than in 2010.
Coman said the companies most at risk for becoming insolvent are in the retail, distribution and hotel sectors. Coface Romania expects the number of insolvent companies to hit 15 percent by the end of the year.
