Industrial leases in Romania decreased by almost 40 percent during the first nine months of the year, compared with the same period last year, according to Jones Lang LaSalle.
Approximately 75,000 sqm of industrial space was leased between January and September, while some 120,000 sqm of space was leased over the same period last year. The most important lease deals signed this year included Schencker DB/Romtrans at Phoenix Logistics Park and Rhein Vision at Ploiesti West Park and Dachser, also at Ploiesti.
So far this year, 45,000 sqm of industrial space was added to the Romanian market with another 40,000 sqm currently under construction.
Monthly industrial rents have also decreased slightly, according to JLL, averaging €3.8 to €4 per sqm.
