The Hungarian truck company Rába is cooperating with Volvo on bus manufacturing. The Hungarian public transport company, BKV is planning to buy several new buses. First, a partnership was concluded with Mercedes on roughly 150 new buses to be delivered by the middle of 2013. Further cooperation could take place on 300 Volvo buses. The Hungarian government recently bought a majority stake in Rába, and has stated that its aim is to develop and to expand the company.
