The Polish builder Budimex has secured the contract to build a distribution center for Jeronimo Martins, the Spanish-based owner of the discount chain Biedronka. The project is set to go up on a 51 ha plot near the Lech Wałęsa airport in Gdańsk. The contract is worth PLN 60m with the completion date for the project set for June 2013. There are currently 1,873 Jeronimo Martins stores operating across Poland, as the company added 239 to its regional network last year.
