Austerity or no, the Hungarian government has announced that it will be handing out funds in order to support 14 sports in 2013. Viktor Orban told a meeting of sports leaders that their organizations would be receiving up to HUF 15bn in handouts.As István Simicskó, secretary of state for sport affairs said, the government has recognized that sport is a national affair and that the government therefor needs to provide all the support it can in order to help them develop. Children will also be having physical education classes every day, under the plan.
