The net profit of the Polish telecom giant Telekomunikacja Polska dropped in the third quarter to PLN 307m, from the PLN 376m profit it posted in Q3 2011. The company’s EBIDTA earnings also slipped in the third quarter, coming in at PLN 1.323bn, compared with PLN 1.403bn reported last year. Operating profits, however, increased to PLN 523m, up by PLN 23m from last year’s posting. Overall revenues fell to PLN 3,473bn, down from PLN 3.677bn in the same period last year.
The company’s consolidated net profit for the first three quarters of the year shrank from PLN 1.560bn to PLN 804m.
