Advent acquired a majority stake in Eko Holding this week, through its subsidiary Ecorse Investments. Advent now has a 58.61-percent stake in Eko.
“We’re please to be able to carry out some strategic changes needed for the company to stimulate its growth on the competitive market,” said Tamás Nagy, partner at Advent International. Advent’s goal is to simplify Eko’s structure by selling off its non-core assets.
“We believe that the business model focusing on core activity will help in the company’s success. Eko will now have to focus on operating its chain of supermarkets,” said Paweł Ryszkiewicz, director at Advent International.
Eko Holding comprises 20 diverse businesses from different market sectors.
