The investment fund Abris Capital Partners bought Cargus, DHL’s national delivery service company. The deal is set to close by the end of the year or in the first quarter of 2013, after it’s approved by the Romanian Competition Council. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
The organizational structures of Cargus International and DHL Express Romania will remain unchanged. DHL will continue to focus on the international service market, while Cargus takes the domestic market.
KPMG Corporate Finance and RTPR Allen & Overy advised DHL on this transaction, while Abris was assisted by Clifford Chance Badea and PwC Romania. Abris acquired the Polish domestic delivery services company Siodemka last year.
