The Warsaw stock market entered the new week with a rise in the values of its most liquid businesses tracked in the WIG20 index. The WSE’s biggest businesses rose just 0.2 percent at today’s opening, held back by the Polish telecommunications giant Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. Along with T.P S.A., also the oil kingpin PKN Orlen fell on Warsaw bourse today by 0.9 percent, as well as the Polish number one lender, PKO BP, which slipped 0.8 percent shortly after the opening bell. So far, the lender Pekao has been gaining the most, with its share going up by 1.9 percent this morning.
