10,000 residential units available in Bucharest

22 October 2012

Real estate developers are selling 2-5 units per month, on average, at the moment, according to a new report by real estate consultants The Advisers/Knight Frank. The study also found that developers have 10,000 new apartments they’re trying to find buyers for, and that most of the units are targeting the rich, if not super-rich.

The stock of new dwellings has reached 24,250 units, with 850 apartments delivered in the first part of the year, in seven projects. Most deliveries were made in projects already present on the market such as Cosmopolis, FeliCity, Militari Residence and NewTown Residence.

Under the current tough circumstances, developers have begun adopting rather flexible marketing strategies by introducing a variety of options for buyers, including schemes to “rent now, buy later” or “move in now, pay in one year.”
