The Czech public railway company, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC), is looking for a general contractor in a tender worth CZK 3bn for the reconstruction of the Olomouc railway station. Work should start by the end of the year, with completion set for the end of 2015. “We should be able to announce the name in a few weeks,” the deputy CEO of SŽDC Petr Šlégr told the local press. EU funding will finance 80 percent of the project.
