The Hines Global REIT investment fund acquired Prologis Park Sosnowiec in a deal reportedly worth €19.9m. Through the deal, Hines has expanded its Polish portfolio with another 47,00 sqm of industrial space in the city of Katowice, in the region bordering with the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The two-unit property is fully let, and will be renamed to “Distribution Park” by the new owner.
“The acquisition of the Sosnowiec asset has expanded Hines’ portfolio in Poland, and proved that the Central and Eastern European region continues to be stable for investment in the real estate market, offering better returns than the Western markets. As Hines is focused on investment activity, we are seriously looking at further investment opportunities,” said Mieczysław Godzisz, senior managing director of Hines in Poland.
