Suntech PowerHoldings signed a contract with EDP Renovaveis to provide 39 megawatts of solar panels for four projects under construction in Romania.
The solar parks will be connected later this year and early next year.
EDP Renovaveis is among the largest players on the portuguese energy market.
EDP’s Romanian network includes wind farms in the cities of Pestera and Cernavodă
Suntech has offices in China, Switzerland and the United States. It has supplied 25 million solar panels to more than 1,000 customers in about 80 countries.
