K4 atelier will oversee construction of Czech TV’s new Brno studio. K4 was named project and cost manager, beating out Gleeds Česká republika and EC Harris. Construction should start in February and is scheduled for completion in mid-2014. A general contractor, however, has not yet been chosen. The total cost of the project was lowered to CZK 340m, down from the original CZK 620m estimate. K4 has been involved in a number of large development projects, including the Nová Karolína shopping in Ostrava and the Clarion Congress Hotel in České Budějovice.
