Steelcase opens a global center in Cluj

The office furniture and service supplier Steelcase opened a global service center in the Maestro Business Center in city of Cluj.

The Cluj team will provide IT support for the company’s financial-accounting operations as well as sales support and other services, said Nancy Hickey, head of Steelcase Inc.

This is the company’s third global center in the world. It also has centers in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Monterrey (Mexico).

Steelcase, which reported $2.4bn in profits last year, has been represented on the Romanian market since 1998 through its distributor COS (Corporate Office Solutions) in Bucharest. COS reported RON 37.3m (€8.8m) in profits last year.
