Change to master plan for Prague 7 Bubny zone rejected again

21 September 2012

The City of Prague once again rejected a change to the master plan that would help green light the redevelopment of the Bubny railway station area in Prague 7. The city council approved the change this spring, said TomÔŔ Hudeček, the deputy mayor responsible for city planning. But according to the ČTK news agency, Hudeček claimed the vote was influenced by the current landowners’ business interests. ā€œThe proposal aims at sustainable development for the area, which means that the owners would not be allowed to build the volumes they planned,ā€ he said. Orco and Prominecon Group are the majority owners of the 60ha area.
