CEE warehouse market recovering

18 September 2012

The CEE warehouse market is showing signs of recovery, with 370,000 sqm of new space introduced to the market in the first half of the year. Most of the new space, valued at €130m, was delivered in Poland. “The biggest number of investments was seen in Poland, though the Czech Republic also remains active in the sector. The two countries provide stabilization for the region,” said Ferdinand Hlobil from Cushman & Wakefield. According to the data provided by CBRE, tenants are turning to new regions in Poland, including Poznań and Silesia. “The plans of the developer and investors regarding the warehouse properties demonstrate that the healthy profits could come from the sector,” Hlobil said.
