Sorin Oprescu is the politician most trusted by Romanians, according to a recent ā€œInfopoliticā€ poll by the Centre for Studies and Research (CSCI) that also forecasts USL will be the winner of the parliamentary elections, with more than 60 percent points, according to Romania TV.

If elections were held this Sunday, 62 percent of Romanians would vote for USL, followed by PDL with 19 percent and PPDD with 11 percent.

In terms of confidence, the best placed politician is the mayor of Bucharest, Sorin Oprescu, with 56 percent. Next is the prime minister, Victor Ponta, with 50 percent, followed by Crin Antonescu (46 percent) and Mihai Răzvan Ungureanu (27 percent). President Traian Băsescu is still trusted by 22 percent of Romanians.
Poll respondents also seem to like the activity of the Victor Ponta Cabinet, which enjoys a better score than any other government over the last 10 years, with 42 percent of respondents giving it between 8 and 10 percentage points out of 10.

The prime ministers over the last years received the following scores: Călin Popescu Tăriceanu (40 percent), Adrian Năstase (33 percent), Mihai Răzvan Ungureanu (25 percent) and Emil Boc (16 percent).
