Infosys expanding in Poland

11 September 2012

The Indian business advisor Infosys is planning to add more than 500 jobs to the Polish labor market next year. Infosys opened its first Polish office in Łódź earlier this year. “We plan to introduce our plan partially in the Łódź special economic zone,” said Krystian Bestry, managing director of Infosys BPO Europe. The company is currently hiring more than 1,500 people in that city alone. But if business keeps booming, the company will be hiring even more new employees next year.
Infosys is expanding faster than expected. The company said in 2010 that it planned to hire just 400 employees over a two-year period. But “if we manage to win half the bids we’re now taking part in, we will need 500 employees next year,” said Bestry.
