Filasa Int. plans €3bn in Romanian wind projects

French Filasa International plans to invest €3bn in renewable energy projects and is also looking to develop a 300MW photovoltaic park in Romania, according to Agerpres news agency.

They plans to develop renewable energy projects in three areas: Buzau-Braila – 897 MW, Suceava -over 500 MW and Caras Severin – 700 MW. Company representatives hope to have all the construction permits for Braila-Buzau until in 2013. With those in place, they claim installation can go forward at a pace of one turbine per week.

This would see the investment completed by 2014 at the latest. Full capacity production is forecasted for 2017, said Bernard Esquirol, general director of Filasa International.
