Museum to be restored at cost of over €6m

The Romanian Peasant Museum in Bucharest will enter into a two-year process of consolidation and restoration. Funding is estimated at €6,306,250, excluding VAT, according to wallstreet.ro.

Restoring the museum is part of a of improvements for over20 historical monuments in the country run by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (MCPN) with 80 percent of the funding coming from the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB).

The remainder must be provided from the state budget.
