The cable television provider UPC has launched a new mobile internet service in Hungary. The company will enter the Hungarian mobile market by providing a virtual mobile network, employing Vodafone mobile telephone infrastructure to do so. At the outset, the service will be limited to data and UPC is also planning to launch voice services. However, it will first be investigating how to achieve this. The main target of the new mobile internet service is the current client base of UPC, as it is planned to be provided as a complementary service. New clients will be offered access to the network at a higher price.
