Bucharest apartment prices continue dropping

Prices of old apartments in Bucharest have been falling since the beginning of the year. Prices fell by 21 percent for two-bedroom properties in the Dorobanti-Floreasca, Berceni and Cotroceni neighborhoods, according to imobiliare.ro.
Despite the decrease, the Dorobanti-Floreasca neighborhood still has the most expensive two-bedroom apartments in Bucharest, with prices reaching €130,000 which means some €1,527 per sqm.

The area with the most most expensive two-bedroom apartments in the capital is Dorobanti-Floreasca area, followed by the Unirii area where average prices are currently to €125,000 (€1,507/sqm). Compared to the beginning of the year, apartment prices in downtown Unirii have remained stable. Going down the list of areas, by cost, are Decebal-Calarasi (€1,409/sqm, down by 6 percent); Dacia-Eminescu (€1,207/sqm, down one percent) and Cotroceni (€1,241/sqm, down 11 percent).

The lowest prices for two-bedroom apartments in Bucharest can be found in Grivitei-Gara de Nord area, Drumul Taberei, Rahova, Berceni, Colentina and Pantelimon where prices for two-bedroom units range on average between €61,000 and €66,000.
