The terms of the energy supply contract with the aluminum producer Alro (ALR) have been renegotiated, according to the the judicial administrator of Hidrolectrica, Remus Borza. The price to be paid by Alro stands between 180 RON/MWh and 205 RON/MWh, depending on the aluminum price, compared to 130 RON/MWh paid in 2011.
The contract remains valid under the new terms until 2018. ALR will also have to pay €11m for some of the energy already supplied. Alro is Hidroelectrica’s largest client, consuming 17 percent of its output in 2011.
