Head of Polimex Mostostal gets farewell?

13 August 2012

The Supervisory Board of Polimex Mostostal has dismissed long-time President Konrad Jaskóła from his position, the website parkiet.com claims, after disagreement arose over the current state of the company. According to parkiet, the board was not unanimous in its decision to dismiss Jaskóla and the motion allegedly passed by just one vote.
Until new President is appointed, the company’s vice-president Robert Oppenheim will be in charge, said a source. Jaskóła and supervisory board members have refused to comment.
Some of the board members were said to be in favor of Polimex being taken over by NDI and its Belgian partner, after the company suffered losses from the road sector collapse. “A group within the supervisory board believe NDI should be a partner for Polimex and Konrad Jaskóła disagreed,” said parkiet’s source.
Polimex is attempting to increase its cash-flow following a temporary agreement with its debtors last month to stave off bankruptcy proceedings.
