Poppe+Potthoff Hungária investing HUF 6 bn in Ajka

Poppe+Potthoff Hungaria is building a factory in Ajka. The company develops and produces technically sophisticated tubes, and components for the automobile sector, with a client list that includes Daimler, Renault, BMW, VW and Audi. P+P Hungaria exports much of its output, mainly to Austria, Germany and to the USA, and will start to export to China, Korea and India as well next year. The factory is worth more than HUF 6 bn, and is supported by HUF 1.6 bn in the scope of the government’s New Széchenyi Plan.
The company has been present in Ajka since 2003, renting a 16,000 sqm facility. It plans to construct its own 4,000 sqm factory by the end of 2013. The company believes its turnover of €40m annually will jump 25% thanks to the investment and that its workforce will swell to 300 by the end of this year.
