Hungarian Erste Bank announces new strategy

The Hungarian subsidiary of Erste Bank has announced a new strategy for the company through 2015. This new plan calls for the bank to remain mainly a commercial bank, with strengthening its Hungarian positions among the other leader banks. The bank would also like to strengthen its risk management and will work to create more effective operations. In late July, Erste Group announced that it had achieved a net profit of €453.6m in the first half of 2012, while increasing its EBA capital ratio to 9.9 percent.
