Polish warehouse market continues growing in Q2

24 July 2012

Following a rough 2011, the Polish warehouse market is showing signs of recovery, with 215,000 sqm of new space delivered in the second quarter of 2012, making up 60 percent of what was completed last year. Leases on 480,000 sqm were also signed in the second quarter. “The demand for the industrial space in Poland is now satisfying. We posted a good result in the first quarter of 2012, renting as much as 16,000 sqm over the period. And the tenants are usually more active in the second quarters of the year,” said Panattoni’s Robert Dobrzycki. The market continued to grow in the second quarter of the year, said Wojciech Dachniewski, negotiator in warehouse department of Cushman & Wakefield. “After a very active Q1 2012, the market hasn’t stopped. The activity of the logistics operators is rising in the second quarter of the year,” he said.
