T-Mobile is threatening to overtake Orange’s lead position on the Polish communication market. In an effort to better gauge its standing, Orange’s operator, PTK Centertel, sent a letter to the Polish Communication Commision (UKE) asking that a common method to estimate the market share be put into place. “The lack of standards undermines the usefulness and the reliability of the presented statistics, as it’s making it impossible to assess the actual base of customers and situation on the market,” Mariusz Gaca, head of PTK, wrote in the letter. According to the the daily Puls Biznesu, Orange, a few days before announcing its quarterly financial results, might be afraid T-mobile already took the top spot on the communication service providers list.
