Romstrade profits in a two-year decline

Romstrade, an infrastructure company owned by the businessman Nelu Iordache, reported a net profit of just €2.6m in 2011, a steep decrease from the €31m turnover it reported in 2009. Despite its current financial standing, data released by the Ministry of Finance shows that Romstrade increased its labor force by more than 500 employees last year.

Meanwhile, company head Iordache was listed 28th in Forbes Top 500 billionaires for 2011 with a fortune of €150m.
