IT&C lead largest office transactions in first half of 2012

IT&C and Telecom is among the most active players on Romania’s office market, according to a Wall Street study. Companies that have recently signed leases on the largest offices on the local market include Raiffeisen Bank, Oracle Romania and an IT&C company, Samsung Electronics Romania.

Samsung Electronics Romania leased about 3,000 sqm in the Platinum Business and Convention Center, located near Otopeni Airport. The deal was brokered by Colliers. Other tenants in the Platinum center, which was developed by Willbrook International, include the pharmaceutical company Pfizer and the press trust Reality Media.

Another IT&C company, whose name was not disclosed, expanded its space in Iride Business Park in the Pipera region by another 2,500 sqm. The company already has 10,000 sqm in the complex. CBRE brokered the transaction.

Raiffeisen Bank will move later this year into Sky Tower, where it rented seven floors, totalling 23,000 sqm of office space, as well as the smaller FCC office. The deal was brokered by CBRE company.

Oracle Romania, a subsidiary of the U.S. software maker Oracle Corporation, leased 20,000 sqm in Floreasca Park, which is currently under construction. The deal was brokered by The Advisers/Knight Frank.

A financial company, whose name has not been disclosed, signed a lease on ​​2,538 sqm in the West Gate complex, developed by businessman Liviu Tudor in Militari district. The deal was brokered by CBRE.
