There are nine tenders currently underway across Poland for road investments, says Lech Witecki, the general director of General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA). These will result in 95.5 km of new roads being added to the country’s network of motorways. Polish authorities have also declared that there are 51 new contracts that are currently in the works for a total of 556 kilometers of roads. Authorities warn, however, that banks will have the last word in whether the roads are built.
